The Royal George Theatre Complex was built in 1984. The complex has 4 theatre spaces(descriptions below), two floors of office space and a popular eatery, Balena Restaurant.

The Mainstage Theatre is 452-seat( 267 in orchestra and 185 in the balcony), traditional proscenium theatre with fixed seating on two levels. Seating Capacity: 452 Approx.Stage Dimensions: 37ft wide x 24ft deep Grid Height: 20 ft.

Cabaret/Studio Theatre is a one of a kind 199-seat found space with a fixed, raised seating plan. While it is not a “cabaret” theatre in the traditional sense, the Theatre does feature a fully stocked 20ft bar in the space.Seating Capacity: 199 Approx. Stage Dimensions: 10.5 ft wide x 18 ft deep, quarter circle configuration Grid Height: 10ft.

The Great Room is a 100-seat found space with a versatile seating arrangement.Like the Cabaret/Studio Theatre, the Great Room features a fully stocked bar within the space itself. Seating Capacity: 100 Approx. Stage Dimensions: 12ft wide x 6ft deep Ceiling Height: 12ft

The Orpheum Theatre is located on Second Avenue in the vibrant East Village and was once part of the string of Yiddish theatres on the street. Over the years the Theatre has been renovated many times and transformed from a music hall,to a movie theatre to a small legitimate theatre. In the 1980s the theatre underwent renovations again becoming a 350 seat venue housing various original Off Broadway productions including Little Shop of Horrors, Oleanna and STOMP.

This intimate theatre has 347 seats (273 in the orchestra and 74 in the balcony.)

The Minetta Lane Theatre, 18 Minetta Lane, between MacDougal Street and Sixth Avenue in the heart of Greenwich Village today is a charming Off Broadway houses known for its very intimate space while seating 391 patrons (269 seats in orchestra and 122 in the balcony).

Opening in 1984, the Theatre has housed critically appraised and successful productions over the years. Such hit productions include Balm in Gilead, Other Peoples Money, Marvin’s Room, Eric Bogosian, Gross Indecency: the Three Trials of Oscar Wilde, Jeffrey, Marvin’s Room, Cowgirls, The Last Five Years, Cookin, Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads, My Name is Rachel Corrie, Adding Machine, A Musical and Garden of Earthly Delights, and The Flying Karamatov Brothers.
